Open letter to 2015

"The best moments I once lived are the ones I absolutely forgot to take pictures of"

Dear 2015,

Every year of one's life, is a life changing one.

Emotions spilling, bursting at the seams, sorts of love and some of sadness.

You were the year that became larger than life. In all my 24 years, this year just kept on giving challenge after challenge, beauty from nothing and happiness from everything.

Kilometres grew between loved ones, and hearts grew closer.

We fell in love with a little pup, who we named Arthur and now sleeps under my feet at this desk and follows me everywhere.

I married my high-school sweetheart, Jean, in the last days of August, and the house we lived in first as a married couple is one with peeling paint, and water and dust falling from the gaps in the ceiling. It is perfect.

Every year is just a series of moments gathering, and every year, no matter the emotions, is always a good one.

2015 was the year that has been my best yet. So these last few days have felt rather lonesome and long as I think about all that has come this year and what will come in the next.

Funnily enough, 2016 might just be even better than 2015.
